The Town of Boykins sign at the Intersection of 35/671 was cracking, fading and peeling. The landscaping had overgrown with weeds and was in need of a little TLC. The Coard Foundation purchased new paint, brushes, rollers, plants and mulch and got to work. Boykins Main Street Initiative also provided a new banner to replace the old one which was severely tattered and torn. We have returned to weed the plant bed and add additional mulch. And, we’ll continue to keep an eye one this important area as it is often the first impression someone traveling through Boykins sees.
This was a 2 for 1 good deed as there was also enough paint leftover to touch up the sign in the park as well.
